Children's Ministry

"Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it." (Proverbs 22:6)

Children's Ministry

Our vision is to see children receive Christ and grow in their relationship with God through prayer, reading God’s Word, worship, and serving. We believe God has a specific plan and purpose for every child, and we strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment where the love of God is demonstrated.

Our Children’s Ministry serves children ages 4 – 12 years old and gives each child appropriate material, crafts, and games according to their age group so they feel fully engaged in the Bible story they are learning that day. It helps them retain the information so they can share it with family and friends.

We care very much about the people who are teaching our children, so everyone who becomes a teacher for the Children’s Ministry is required to be a member of Light of the World Church, have a background check, and take safety training courses. We want our Children’s Ministry to be a safe haven that parents and children alike can trust.

For curriculum, we use The Gospel Project, which takes a thorough look into the Bible, with no added frills or fiction. The additional papers sent home with your children will give insight into what they have learned that day, include questions to ask them about the Bible story, and have games to help keep the story fresh in their minds. This will keep you connected in what they are learning and allow for insightful conversations about the Bible principles they are exploring!

Sunday Mornings

What to do Upon Arrival

Registration

Please be sure to register your children for class in the lobby. You will receive a sticker with your child’s name on it and a number. The number will allow us to identify that you are the guardian of your child and make sure they are returned only to you.

Meet the Teachers
At 10:20 a.m., the screen in the worship service will show a banner that releases the children to the lobby where they will meet their teachers. Parents are welcome to walk with their children and teachers to the classroom which is the third one down the hallway.
Dismissal
At 11:30 a.m., the children will be dismissed from class. If service is still ongoing, the children will be returned to their parent/guardian in the sanctuary. If the service is over, parents/guardians can go to the classroom to pick up their child.
